Came in with a simple request for a cauliflower ear draining. Got told this was something that they don’t do any more and for me to put ice on and wait for swelling to go down. Not how a cauliflower ear works, the coagulation of blood would harden as the vessels and cartilage heals leaving me with permanent ear. I had to go to the chemist and get some needles and do the procedure myself in an unsterile environment. | ||||||

Really happy with the level of care received. I have had both urgent, same day appointments, and regular gps appointment booked in advance. Every time the feedback, support, care and attention I have received has been great and very reassuring. | ||||||

Since merging with Elmwood the surgery is terrible, cannot get appointments, the ethos and environment have changed for the worse! One thing has remained the same....the very rude Reception staff including the Practice Manager! Reply from Meltham Village Surgery Fri, 20 Oct 2017 13:21:24 +0100 We are surprised you were unable to obtain an appointment within a reasonable time as, over the last two weeks at our Meltham site, we have had unused urgent appointments on every day but one, and currently have a good choice of routine appointments available within 3 working days. Since we merged with Elmwood, we have had 50% more GP time and twice as much nurse and HCA time at Meltham Village Surgery than prior to the merger. We are sorry to hear that you feel that Practice staff have been rude to you. Please contact the Practice Manager at Elmwood to discuss this. We would like to clarify that the Practice Manager does not work on Reception and has not spoken to any patients about appointment booking for some considerable time. | ||||||
