We would like to thank everyone involved for the professional service received by Hetton Group Practice.
My dad was having hearing difficulties and I queried how we could get his ears checked when I brought him in for his health check.
The receptionist was helpful, friendly and professional and found an appointment so we could be seen immediately after his health check.
We returned after two weeks on 18th September having followed the nurses advice and his ear was now clear of wax.
As he was still having hearing difficulties, I spoke to the same receptionist on the front desk who made our initial appointment. Again she provided an excellent caring service and listened to me to help resolve our issue. She completed the necessary steps to escalate a referral to audiology for us.
A big thank you to the member of the team in the practice who did the referral as we received a letter in the post on Friday 21st September to book an audiology appointment for him.
We were amazed to get a cancellation appointment at 4pm on the same day and by 4.30pm thanks to the efficient service from Hetton Group Practice and the Specsavers Audiology team dad is now the new proud owner of two hearing aids!!

In preparation for my summer holiday, it was recommended that I had a travel immunisation review. I was able to contact the GP Practice and spoke to a very professional and polite receptionist who assured me a Practice Nurse would be in touch to review any previous vaccines that I had and assess if I needed further vaccinations.
True to the Receptionists word, I received a call back within the hour and a very professional Practice Nurse advised a booster vaccination. I was able to book an appointment at a time convenient to me and receive the vaccine hassle free.
