This review is around the dr I saw at the time,
I visited the DR as I started to get unusual symptoms that were driving me up the wall ! I could not breath especially whilst laying down,
I had excess mucas and was getting the worst heat burn type pain ever !!! So much so that I had to be rushed to hospital !
The hospital did nothing, didn’t even tell me what was wrong, gave me an injection sent me for an x ray and then discharged me with a needle still in my hand!
The GP prescribed sinus spray!!! Yes sinus spray and I kept going back because it didn’t clear!
They or another GP as I can’t remember which then prescribed lansprozol ! I went back because these didn’t work and I was told that I had to wait months for them to work.
Anyway I have called 999 for ambulances, I have been in so much pain, It has destroyed my life, I can’t lie in bed because I can’t breath etc
Then I went back to the GP and demands that something was done, this time I saw another doctor who advised that I needed to go for a endoscopy! Finally! Because my father was sent for one immodestly when he experienced similar symptoms years prior,
So, I went for my endoscopy and the consultant asked if my Gap had tested for H Pylori
He was absolutely gobsmacked when I replied no!
He was alarmed that I had presented with all these symptoms for years and not one dr had tested for H Pylori!
He did the endscopy and noticed that I had a hernia which would cause reflux but he didn’t think that this would cause the symptoms that I was really suffering with!
So he took a biopsy to test for h pylori.
A few months later, during 2018
I visited the DR about a different matter and happened to merntion that I had a hernia, after been for an endoscopy, At this point, the dr checked his computer and noted that I had tested positive for H PYLORI!
He prescribed two sets of anti biotics and omprazole for 7 days !!! I am still suffering with the symptoms, so I will be returning m. But, the first doctor let me suffer for years, he never once checked for h pylori or sent me for any further tests and due to this
I have been left to suffer each and every day
I have received warnings at work For taking time off sick |

Having moved to Seaham recently we chose Deanside medical Ctr as our Doctors. On a few occasions we have needed to book an appointment , we all work (family of 4) but not in the local area , there are never any late appointments available . I.e after 5pm. Obviously you need to be psychic to know you will be ill 2weeks in advance to get in. YET we have received letters to go for a health check (lol) appointment available and I’m not even ill ????
Would it not be best to ask the question “ are you working” at the time of appointment request and keep a few appointments after 5pm (if appropriate due to illness) of those of us who do. |
