I had an ongoing problem with a surgical wound which left me at risk of serious infection and feeling very vulnerable.
After a hopeless visit with the surgeon I made an appointment to go to the Dunelm practice where the nurses took full control of the situation and were just wonderful.
I felt understood, cared for and very well looked after during three months of daily then bi-daily visits. The nurses and HCAs were fabulous for both my physical and mental health. Skilled, competent and caring. |

Gilesgate Medical Centre,
Utterly appalling. Complete disregard for mental health and show no motivation in caring for such conditions. After complaining of insomnia for roughly 12 weeks , I was looking for some short-term medication to get through a particular difficult time as I was getting absolutely no sleep the majority of nights. They informed me that "this isn't something we do as a practice." So what am I supposed to do? They tried prescribing me medication which the pharmacist told me I could buy double the quantity for half the price over the counter! Doctor had not compassion for my mental health condition I had suffered with for 10 years and informed me that "he didn't expect to hear from me about this for another six months."
I now no longer feel comfortable going to this practice over my long-term mental health condition as they showed no compassion or initiative in helping me through this.
If you want to be humiliated, have your time wasted, then this is the GP for you. |

Cannot fault the care at this practice for myself and my family. Polite, very organised, diligent and rigorous care. Approachable, understanding and friendly. Everybody should have a GP surgery like this. |
