The Manor House Surgery

This used to be a trusted family surgery. Sadly over the past five or six years, it's gone down hill. The care given is very hit and miss. It's an ongoing battle to see a GP, it's impossible to see the same GP to ensure they know your history and you feel confident in their competence. There is one particular nurse practitioner who I have has the misfortune to deal with on two separate occasions. She doesn't listen (I've since spoken with several people who had a worryingly similar experience) and isn't sensitive to the patients medical problems - including those with mental health issues. Dr Elliot and Dr Walker were both great. Sadly they left Annette is a lovely nurse practitioner who is helpful and accommodating. The Royals seem to have given up, perhaps struggling to meet the requirements of the current government, probably short of staff but equally out of ideas. The full practice needs a revamp from the ground up. Better communication, better booking processes, better GPs, more flexible appointments and better training on how to treat patients with compassion and dignity. Several times I have been told that they are very busy as if my health problems weren't valid. I have been made to feel stupid. You shouldn't feel like a burden for going to see a doctor when you're ill. You shouldn't be made to feel like a time waster when you make appointments to raise concerns or ask for investigations into ongoing health issues. You shouldn't walk away from an appointment feeling like you're an idiot because of how a DR or nurse practitioner spoke down to you. Something must change. Please take heed and look at these issues starting with incompetent, dismissive and insensitive people like Alison. It's simply not good enough. I have lost faith completely in this practice and feel nervous going in because I've been made to feel like my concerns aren't valid. That is a failure

Trying to obtain an appointment with this practice is ridiclous. The only out of hours appointments for the last 2 years have been for Flu and Covid jabs. The practice is not accessible for routine appointments such as Smears outside of the usual hours.

Dr Royal took me of tables for mental problems... He was grossly negligent. the worse time of my life.. He had no right to allow me to go cold turkey. I have lost all faith in gp,s in this manor house surgery there have lost touch with humanity
