I am so surprised to read some of the negative comments My experience has always be positive I have been helped by some wonderful receptionist secretary’s nursing staff and health care workers .All the drs have been great and supportive . Only once a problem with a Locum dr when I contacted reception and explained my husband saw a dr do not want another appointment with him ,I was told locum left put my husband in that day with a wonderful nurse practitioner Who treated him saw him three times and was brilliant with him . I would and have recommended this surgery any problems have always been sorted quickly Thank you to the whole team you do a brilliant job under difficult circumstances . |

Recently called in for a doctors appointment 11/3 Friday. About 1/30 ish was asked by lady receptionist what it was for I said I am and have been struggling with depression . My appointment is now in 5 days time a phone call.? I said its its a good job I am not suicidal. Then was ask if I had come in for a argument and was told I was being rude and disrespectfully. Bearing in mind my condition ,I struggle to see how any one can diagnose someone over the phone . But that's what I was given . in the coming months I will be changing my doctor's practice .?. I have no complaints with the doctor's there, they seem to be doing a good job under difficult circumstances, let down by receptionist staff .new brush would come in handy ?. |

Following a catalogue of failures in my mother's care this weekend has just topped it of to the point where we as a family have had enough and will be taking our concerns to the CQC, there is absolutely no point in continuing to try and speak with a doctor, a nurse or even administration. Unfortunately due to failings by this surgery and the medical and administration team my mum received the devastating diagnosis of CUP with widespread metastatic disease in December 2020, following this she was informed that she would be on the palliative register and be able to access the services she required at any time, what a joke! Not once has a GP contacted my mum to ask how she is, without the support of the fantastic team at St Catherine's hospice I dread to think where we would be. The apparent medication team are well appalling, a request for pain medication was put in on Thursday giving the required time of 48hrs they apparently need to issue medication needed to alleviate cancer at the end stages, despite apparently being on the palliative register this is still the process she must follow. Well, surprise surprise no medication, thus meaning at the age of 71 being left potentially in pain all weekend, luckily for mum she has a family able to contact the necessary services to release the medication she needs, this did however require many conversations with very helpful pharmacists, NHS 111 and clinicians ( Not libary house doctors) This surgery is a disgrace my mother was left for nearly 9 months waiting for an urgent chest xray that the surgery it would appear lost and when they did finally send her she was found to have a collapsed lung and disease throughout her body, would this of been different had they of sent her when she should of gone, we will never know! Yet despite all the failures not one phone call to apologise or explain! I urge anybody who is waiting on a result from a procedure or an appointment to push and push to get answers as they have no system in place to detect any abnormalities or concerns, letters get lost in administration! Peoples lives are destroyed by failings of your team to respond correctly to other health professionals request and concerns. I would like to think that anyone working within the care setting would not intentionally nit follow up test results or requests for further investigation however I find myself astonished by the fact that nobody has bothered to explain to my mother or her family what went wrong. My concern is for now my mother and ensuring that she is comfortable and looked after. I do however feel that other service users should be aware of the mistakes and failings made and to not accept the ignorance and inability to follow up patients conditions! Please do not end up like our family let down at every corner by this surgery! I am quite certain that we are not alone but enough is enough, libary house surgery and its team should be questioning its procedures, systems and just quite frankly human nature! Caring seems to be the last thing in their service! Disgraceful! |
