I was removed after making multiple points of concern regarding patient safeguarding and the practice's inability to take my mental health problems seriously - Jyotsna Magupu wanted me to see anyone and treat my problems as generic, whilst her salaried GP was giving very much a different impression. I registered with this practice in August of last year as a way to get PIP (as I needed a GP practice, any would do). The unfortunate part is the low comprehension skills commanded by even the practice partners. I was baited in an argument about my use of the phrase routine appointment; apparently, the Chorley Surgery refers to them as pre-booked appointments, which a small child should be able to immediately identify as tautological and stupid. They repeatedly let my mother make appointments on my behalf but wouldn't tell her what time they were when ringing up to get a reminder. They cannot send manually typed SMS messages through the AccurX system, in spite of every other organisation being able to do so without me specifically requesting that information (idk, almost as if they like to pretend they have procedures and there's some kind of meaningful management). This is a horrible practice without any excuses. It is not particularly big in terms of patients, the admin staff seemed to regularly have get-togethers whilst doing precious little in the way of work. They also do not recognise their own complaints procedure or seem to understand it. If you want to see how hard they work, check out Andrea Trafford's Twitter page. I'd been wondering whilst I was still a patient what that woman does because it doesn't seem to be much and apparently it actually isn't! |

I would just like to comment on the treatment I have had in the last 19mths by the surgery and receptionist I have found all the ladys to be pleasant and efficient and believe me I certainly would say if I hadn't. I have kidney disease so I rely on the surgery and consultants. |

Receptionist are rude, intrusive as if they are actually doctors, they refuse to make appointments over the phone and tell you to go online, advise the phone lines aren't for appointments(especially on Fridays?) Would not recommend to anybody who likes dignity and respect. |
