I got so frustrated, I moved after a year of non-stop problems with them. When a mistake was made, they would blame someone else, even when that person did their part right in front of me. They wanted to be treated as always right, wouldn't listen, wouldn't take me seriously, the term "expert patient" was unwelcome there. They would talk to me like a child & expect me to do as they say without question. On more than one occasion I was actually given advice that would have put my life at risk when they told me to take paracetamol for my cold when I was on cocodamol & if they'd bothered to look at my notes before I went into the room, they'd have known how dangerous that was. Following instructions of a hospital who had to ask me to be rereferred due to an unforseen situation, I was told off like a child for not attending an appointment at the hospital when the hospital were the ones who cancelled the appointment! My medical knowledge was totally disregarded & I was left waiting six months for a referral to a major service & had to threaten to contact the GMC before the person got their finger out & actually did what they promised. I'm not the only person they did this to. My Mum had to go twice before they helped her with something she went for & my Dad had to go several times before he got the help he needed. They're absolutely fine for people who never need to go to the doctor. But if you have any sort of chronic illness, please spare yourself the stress. |

I developed what appears to be UTI which felt awful at 2.30 am this morning. Despite my 83 year old mother dropping off a urine sample at 8.30 am, there has been no doctor's call after a dipstick test at 4 pm. I am still waiting.... UTI is one of the worst things one endures and ideally, this should be dealt with earlier. I am myself a Consultant and lead a large service for Cheshire and Merseyside. We certainly are not this unresponsive. The staff in front who I phoned also were very unhelpful. Surely dipstick testing is not that complex. |

A great Surgery, all the staff are professional & helpful. I have encountered one in particular that I would say is lovely.... would like to offer a few words
Of appreciation for "a member of staff" who works at the practice.
I have spoken to the member of staff a few times for different things over recent months. I have always found her to be friendly and nothing is too much trouble for her to sort out. She never comes across in her tone of voice that it is too much trouble. She is always helpful & positive. It is nice when you're not feeling your best to have that reassurance & confidence that what you are asking will be done without hesitation.
She is an asset to the team.
The doctors here are always helpful. You never feel rushed at your appointment. They listen & offer help & advice. Reply from Spital Surgery Mon, 29 Oct 2018 10:41:22 Z Thank you for taking the time to compliment our staff member, who is relatively new to our team. This praise goes a long way in keeping us all feeling appreciated and motivated to provide the very best service that we can. Kind regards Emma Hadwin Practice Manager. |
