I have recently had an illness which resulted in having to attend the practice several times over a short period of time. Each time I have been I have been impressed with the care I have received, I haven't really had to attend often in the past but always felt that the practice was good, however now I think it is exceptional.
The girls on reception have been patient and kind, the GP has been amazing as she went out of her way to make sure I was ok, she made sure all tests were carried out to eventually find out what was wrong with me. I was fitted in by the nurse to do blood tests and a heart test. I cant thank them enough for the care they have shown me. This has not been a pleasant time for me and I was very worried. I feel they really care. |

you never ever get to see a regular GP, this becomes a problem when like myself you have a daughter of 2 who unfortunately needs to attend the surgery quite often. I see a different doctor every time I take her most of the time either being a locum or AP, I therefore have to explain her past medical history from start to finish. This has meant a lot of the time things have been missed and things haven't been done that should have. A referral was supposed to be sent of in may 2018 it is now September 2018 and I have found of the referral has never even been sent. This is Quite frankly just poor care. I also find the receptionists are very rude at times, they ask you questions I feel they shouldn't, they also offer you an appointment time and when you say could I have a later one they ask you why? surely that isn't any of there business. ive been feeling this way for a while and I have now decided that I am changing doctors surgeries. |

OK so I have never visited another Practice in my area but talking to friends who are registered elsewhere, I believe my experiences are significantly better.
We never fail to get an appointment to see a GP on the day even though it might not be our "usual" doctor. At very worst, we are able to get a telephone consultation. Recently this has been improved by introducing "Skypelike" mobile telephone consultations with qualified doctors who have full access to our Medical History
My wife and I have consulted with the Practice GPs regularly for minor "maladies" and if he or she was in anyway concerned, we have been referred to hospital based Consultants for treatment and subsequent surgeries. There is NEVER any hesitation about referring us for conditions that the GPs are not sure about and need specialist opinion.
The other Practice staff including the nurses and office staff are very good, helpful and considerate.
This is a very well run Practice which we are very pleased to be part of and thoroughly recommend. |
