On numerous occasion's since pre-Covid, having 4 young children I have needed to seek GP advice. As a health care profession myself I only seek appointments as a last resource, this have proven to be very difficult if non excitant and 90% of the time having to call sometimes 50+ times to be faced with very very rude receptionist. one of my children has had re current tonsillitis's since December 2022, on the last occasion resulting in airway compromised due to swelling and unable to breath properly and need to attend AED - this month he unfortunately, while on holiday in Cornwall he developed Tonsillitis again, I called for a telephone consultation in hope my GP would be able to send a prescription to the nearest chemist, but was told although we've not had a face to face appointment for over 3 years this was the only option today (how I was expected to do an 8 hour drive in less than 4 to see a GP, I will never know), I explained the situation to Jackie the lovely receptionist who was very polite and very helpful (NOT), when I was expressing my concerns and trying to prevent my son becoming very unwell, and literally told me 'BYE'!! before putting the phone down on me... the practice used to be absolutely amazing, Staff used to be helpful, understanding, approachable and caring, I honestly would NOT recommend to anyone - service has becoming shocking - current seeking a new practice and praying any of my children don't need a GP until I have registered elsewhere. |

Disgusting Receptionist who does not listen with bad attitude problem. Not sure when you went to medical school to become a receptionist. I hope you face the same attitude when you need the NHS |
