I attended an appointment today at 2.15pm with nurse Georgia, after speaking on the phone to the pharmacist .....who had organised for BP check etc and forms for blood test ,everything went well .on leaving I waited to collect blood forms ! 2 receptionist on the desk one was on a call the other was chatting to a guy behind the counter who I saw leaving in a small white van ,later ...after some time a young couple entered and stood by the wait here sign!the receptionist proceded to call to the couple you ok ?? They came over to register to be a patient She gave him his form back and asked him to sign it etc So quickly said can I just have a blood form that been put there to collect! she said I'm already seeing to some this man you have to wait??????? I replied I was here befor this couple even came in ???? The couple quickly apologised to me saying they obviously thought I was being seen to ! I assured them it is not there fault not to worry Thecreceptionist said well I never saw you??? I was right in front of her nose nearly touching screen face mask while she was chatting at least 5 minuets ???? The couple continued to apologies then the receptionist said very rudely after taking the form of the man ,what's you name? I said no need to talk to me in that tone !!she said no need for you!!!!!!!I could not believe my ears ????? She went to the draw brought me the form 2 seconds it took and shoved it under screen no sorry anything ,I was so upset after having a really good experience with pharmacist and student nurse, completely blind sided by a receptionist ..... the lady had sleek back burggandy y coloured hair in a ponytail large black thick glasses,I think some one needs to have a word with her ASAP |

I called in today, 20/12/18, to collect a repeat prescription and noticed that one item was missing; the receptionist said I needed to make an appointment with the GP to review this medication. The first available appointment was in three weeks time-11/01/19-by which time my medication would have run out. I had requested a repeat prescription with two weeks notice of my medication running out, and had I been informed that I would have needed a review of this medication when it was prescribed I would have acted on this information earlier.
As someone who works I am unable to phone at 0800 for an on-the-day appointment, so, when I have acted responsibly and am at no fault, to have to wait three weeks for an appointment... part of which without medication.... is shameful on the part of Green Lane Medical Centre. |
