Having been at this practice in excess of twenty years, I have observed the standards of care falling, in recent years. Today, I was offered an appointment in four weeks time, to see the GP, of my choice, following a diagnostic blood test. Not good enough. Indeed, it seems that I couldn't see any GP whatsoever, for some weeks hence. My husband , one month ago, had a blood test for another disorder and was asked to return to the surgery ten days later. He found it impossible to book any appointment which fitted that time span, requested by the GP personally. The GP's at this practice do not appear to be aware that they are asking patients to return to clinic, at specific points in time but these are impossible requests to comply with, in the time duration stated, due to lack of availability of appointments. There are 'emergency' appointments each day but the receptionists will not allow patients to use this system, to discuss blood results with a GP, however serious those diagnostic blood results may be. |

Two years ago I was really poorly with Pneumonia, and because I am a very busy person and work full time, when I contracted a similar cough I went to the doctor. The doctor was blunt, dismissive and actually told me off for coming in on day two. Not what I was expecting, and I will definitely not be visiting this Doctor again. |

Having been with Kelsall surgery for only a few months so far, I can only comment on my experience to date.
Unfortunately, my first visit turned out to be for a serious health issue - I have to say that the support I've had has been really good. Hopefully this will continue as my illness progresses, I have no reason to suspect otherwise. |
