once you take the time to let a receptionist explain the triage system to you, you actually relies this is a good, working, system. Call on the day at 8am, yes queue for 20 minutes on the line as you would expect for over 10K patients, get through to a pleasant receptionist who gives you a time the doctor will call, 10am, phone with me all day while I continue with my day, call received 11am, speak with doctor, offered an appointment for the same day at 16.00, appointment taken. Spoken to, dealt with, seen in one day while I was able to carry on with my own day. Excellent service that I would happily advise friends or family to use if Appleton Surgery open their list again.
GP's are friendly and I have seen that they work well past the usual clinic times.
Reception helpful and if given the time will explain the different services available.

This surgery has literally changed how I feel about booking doctors appointments. At first I didn't like the triage system but it's super efficient and I always get through, get a call back and then either get an appointment or medication. What's to complain about? My mum is with another one local to this surgery and she called from 8-8.30 and can not get an appointment at all. It's horrendous. The only reason she can't change is because Appleton aren't taking on any new patients. I would recommend this surgery without hesitation and the GP's are always very thorough and friendly. |
