I phoned to see a doctor explained what had happened and that my infection was spreading felt that I definately needed antibiotics. I was refused an appointment and told to go to the chemist and that they would get someone to review my symptoms and give me the appropriate medicine. I asked what if they agreed I needed antibiotics what happens then the receptionist said the chemist would refer me to see a doctor. (They couldn't help or refer me, and were stunned that I was told they could) When I finally did get to see a doctor I was told before I even sat down that I needed antibiotics and that I should have come sooner.. Doctor was great... Receptionist was NOT... |

My husband attended the surgery today at 9 am, at the request of the GP, and was asked why he was there, when he explained his issues which are a few, he was told the appointment was only made for one specific thing. I have phoned the practice today at 10.30 am to speak to the practice manager, who is not in today and have requested to speak to the deputy practice manager and left my phone number details requesting a call back. I hope I don't have to wait too long before I receive the call back. I have explained to the receptionist that is it in connection to the appointment and treatment he received this morning. I am happy to attend the surgery with my husband to discuss the medical care and who is which doctor is taking control of his medical care, outside of my working hours. Thank you. |
