I have needed the help of church view surgery a lot this year. I have found them ti be very helpfull at all times. I have foned several times at 8am and got an appointment for the same morning to see my own g.p or on one occasion a locum. I have been with this practice for over 30 years and I have allways been very satisfied. Well done church view surgery. Cradley heath. | ||||||

Just an update on my previous post its the 11th of January 2023 and after 3 days of trying i was told because i had tried for 3 consecutive days to get an appointment they must now offer me an appointment. But i was told to buy over the counter medications first to which i said i have im taking paracetamol cavonia and 3 weeks later its still on my chest. I tried to help and said i know the doctors are busy can they just write me a prescription for antibiotics. I was told i must see a doctor as they have to assess me. Ok can i have an appointment for tomorrow the 12th or Friday the 13th. No i was told you have to phone on the day to get an appointment. So i asked when can i have one for i was told the next available appointment was the 2nd of February.but try again tomorrow to see if there are any appointments. I phoned at 8 on the morning and usually cant get through and after 20 minutes get through to a que i was 20th in the que so know im not going to get one. I hate doing this but they told me on my first call to go to A&E looks like i will have to i will give it another couple of days to hope it clears up as i don't want to waste their time i know how they have more important patients | ||||||

This is not so much a review or complaint this is more i don't understand. I very rarely see a doctor it has been years since the last visit. Over xmas i caught the flu i didn't phone or call out a doctor but 10 days later its stuck on my chest and cant shake it. So Monday morning at 9am i phoned to make an appointment to which i was told why am i phoning at this time as all appointments for the day is 8am. Ok i thought Tuesday or Wednesday will do but no i was told this doesn't happen you have to phone at 8am on the day as they don't do appointments for other days in the future. Now being a bit smart i understand there will be a que come 8am tomorrow so chances are i will be very lucky to get one. But the receptionist was very helpful and told me to go to A&E. Now i watch the news and they are saying please dont come to A&E as they are overwhelmed please go to your GPS and the GPS are saying please dont come to us as we dont like giving out appointments. Hopefully its just a chest infection to which antibiotics may clear it up but as i cant seem to see anyone to get some i will just try in ths morning and fingers crossed i get through | ||||||
