I asked for the HPV catch-up vaccination this morning but was turned away since they don't offer it. The very least they could do would be to advise patients where they should go.Cervical cancer is the most common cancer for women under 35. |

Having been a patient at The Hawthorns surgery for over 20 years I can honestly say that I have received exception treatment, care and support. You only realise how good until you have an event in your life and call upon the services of the surgery and the GP's. What I feel The Hawthorns surgery offers is the continuity of care and in my experience I cannot fault the services of the practice right down to the pleasant, friendly telephone and reception staff. I am very grateful to my main GP for the exceptional support I have received and more so in recent years when I have required continued appointments. Thank you to everyone. |

I am a Forty something female with what I would say an average expectation of service provision. From personal experience I am fully aware of the pressures involved in running a Practice resulting from Year on year underinvestment to achieve the expected standard of patient centred primary care. Despite the pressures faced in a primary care setting my experience from being a patient at The Hawthorns all of my life has been commendable. The Hawthorns is an innovative forward thinking Practice. Always first in line to commission new services. I have personally taken advantage of the specialist services available within the Practice of ENT and Women’s Health. I have a daughter with significant additional needs. I perhaps call on the Practice a little more than average and have always received an excellent service. For example, in the past twelve months I have rang the Surgery twice for advice from a Doctor on the management of a condition of my Daughter. My first port of call to the receptionist was handled with efficiency, empathy and patience. Due to the circumstances, on both occasions and without request, I was offered a home visit for my Daughter. One occasion I was most grateful for a visit and the second I was more than happy with telephone advice from the Doctor. I have always received a professional, friendly and approachable service from all of the Doctors at The Hawthorns and I have always been treated with the greatest of respect. I fully admire the sustainability of the level of excellent service I have received over the years. The GP’s are complimented by an excellent structure of clinical and administrative staff. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Partners and the whole team on the delivery of such an excellent service ! My Family and I are very grateful. |
