Due to being severely disabled I had a home visit from a Dr, I explained I had disks crumbling in my neck and that it was only going to get worse and an op would paralyse me. I explained the pain was worsening, to my utter shock he took me OFF the med that helps the most, my last doctors, surgeons and specialists combined had spent 15yrs of hard work on their part trying to keep me as pain free and comfortable as possible and spent the time coming up with the best course of meds possible due to the severity of my issue I asked him why and he said because he could, he also said I was not to have a home visit again, even though I struggle to move most days, again he refused to give me a reason why, 2months later I rang the practice saying I needed a home appointment due to the pain being so unbearable I couldn’t sleep or eat, I had a constant headache, I couldn’t move my head at all and I just didn’t want to carry on with the pain anymore it was beyond unbearable since being taken off tramadol they spoke to the same Dr and he told the receptionist, who was lovely, to ring me back and say I’m not allowed a home visit and if I want to be treated ever again to dial 999, I said all I wanted was to go back to how the pain was on tramadol at least I could just about cope then and he’s told every GP in the practice that I’m not to be put back on them. The GP’s themselves have been telling me that they don’t have any notes from my previous GP and can only take my word that there is even anything wrong with me, but I’ve since found out from the Practice Manager, who is not a nice person, that they received my notes when I registered over 3yrs ago and it was a struggle to get that out of her, for some reason she didn’t want me to know. This practice is a joke with GP’s that don’t want to treat a disabled person and how can I have any faith in them treating me properly when my medical records have mysteriously vanished and one Dr really seems to have it in for me. I also asked for a copy of my medical records for the last 15yrs as my orthopaedic surgeon said I should always have on me a copy of everything to do with my spine, I was told someone would be in touch within 48hrs, this was 3wks age, I have yet to hear back from anyone |

I am not a patient at this practice but called on behalf of my father. I spoke to a receptionist re a complicated request.
She listened to the full story then dealt with it step by step, advising me all the way through the conversation. Many thanks for your professionalism, attention to detail and for showing compassion and respect to a stranger! |

Words alone are not enough to express what a wonderful, kind, gentle and all round lovely lady this nurse is. I have seen her a couple times before for other things and she has always been so genuinely lovely. The end of August I had the mirena coil fitted. She explained everything to me beforehand, gave me all the information about different types of coil and made sure I was happy with what was going to happen. During insertion, she explained everything and was as gentle as she could be while doing it, it’s not the most pleasant experience but compared to the blogs I’ve read and friends experiences it really wasn’t as bad as anticipated. This nurse is absolutely brilliant, she has fantastic bedside manor, she makes you feel safe and at ease even if you were a complete bag of nerves before the appt. When you are in the consultation room with her you are the only thing that matters and she genuinely cares about you and what is happening in your world, I feel I could tell her anything no matter how personal, she would listen without judgement and do whatever she could to help. She is genuinely the best nurse ever. |
