This surgery needs investigating with immediate effect! My son who is 5 was turned away with a temperate of 39.8, his mouth and throat was that sore which lead to him not eating or drinking!! After crying to them on the phone they still refused an appointment may I add again a 5 YEAR OLD! The pharmacist next door said he needed to be seen immediately! All they ever do is tell you to go to a walk in centre and wait 4hrs plus, when it takes at least 7 minutes for them to check him over and give antibiotics. Rung 111 and even they were disgusted with the service they offer. My son suffers with his tonsils , adenoids and ear infections regularly and I can count on one hand how many times they’ve seen him!! Because we have to have out of hour’s appointments or go to the walk in centre! Absolute joke of a surgery. Instead of being greedy and keep taking patients on look after the ones you’ve got already first! No wonder A&E is the way it is when dr’s receptionists sign post you that way! The surgery is a joke!!! You can ring the surgery at 8am and be told there isn’t any appointments or be number 33 in a que then get cut off ?? |

I have been a patient at Brook since 1995 and I have always had the greatest treatment that any person could wish for . I must say that all the Doctors I have seen over the years have been 100 percent. Dr Gilby is a world class Doctor and a world class listener who has helped me through some very hard times along with Dr Parkinson. Today I had to see Dr Gilby and again I felt so relaxed and at ease with this Dr he is absolutely fantastic I can't thank him and all at Brook Medical Centre enough ?? |

I am on a controlled drug, after speaking to the chemist situated at the surgery and asking them to reduce the amount I have, the prescription has got separated from my normal prescription, no idea why, if has got later and later arriving each month , the last one I never received at all, to make sure I was not without I used old ones I still had from when the amount I had was to high , I have none left now and despite the chemist I use requested a few times it never came. As I am going on holiday I had asked for a prescription early as I will be away past the date of a new one, this has resulted in chaos, I know it will be with my chemist on Monday , but I rang finally getting through after almost and hour holding on , I explained but I was told they would get a clinician to approve and would ring me later..all I was asking for was the prescription that had been missed out not the one for my holiday, I waited in my car thinking I would get the call fairly soon , at 86 years old I feel the cold even with the car heater on , finally I had to return home, by 4pm I was concerned so went down to the surgery to find I could not even get to reception , as not accepting inquiries , so I went outside and rang, 12th in the queue so I waited desperate to get the prescription to be told it would be 48 hours to see if I could get the medicine early I WANTED the late one not the holiday one, I went home in tears so frustrated, so no sleep for me till Monday I am praying I get it then or I will be away for 3 weeks with none and in pain , I have been with this surgery well over 50 years and never had any trouble like this before..( and by the way the receptionist was very good ,,not her fault at all.. ) normally I have had excellent service when I go which is not often. |
