I have been registered with this practise since I moved into Quainton over 4 yrs ago and I cannot fault the service and level of care I receive from the main desk right through to the dispencery, I have type 1 diabetes and need consistent monitoring and they are so helpful |

The booking systems with this practice is very frustrating and you never seem to be able to get an appointment.. You have to call in the morning at 8 O'clock and can never get through, and on the odd occasion that you do the line goes dead!! Only trying to make an appointment for a non emergency appointment which seems ludicrous you can't book in advance for.. |

My family have been patients here for 4 years. At the beginning we loved them. So caring and compassionate. My wife developed cancer and the care was amazing. Nothing was too much. Unfortunately, a consequence of my wife’s ill health and other stresses, I abused alcohol as a medication. When I sought help the first locum doctor told me to man up and the second lady partner doctor lectured me. Thankfully the senior partner took control and I am delighted say I am well on the road of recovery. However, my wife’s health concerns have remained. Her most recent scare just weeks ago. We have moved out of the village to the other side of town. Although the government and nhs websites insist that there are not geographical catchments, we have been told we must find another GP. We explained a preference for continuity in my wife’s care and was told we could have 60 days. To enforce that, on Friday I took my wife to Whitchurch to collect her meds. Written the bag was a note stating that this was the last prescription to be provided.
In summary, used to be great, now it’s a business. Reply from Whitchurch Surgery Mon, 23 Sep 2019 06:36:34 +0100 Whitchurch Surgery is committed to providing the best care and treatment possible to it’s patients within its limited NHS resources. All GP practices have defined patient catchment registration areas to enable us to provide this service to the best efficiency, hence when patients move outside this catchment area they are asked to change to a GP near to their new home address. This would be advisable as soon as possible, especially if there is a family member with an ongoing medical issue that may require a home visit, which would not be provided once living out of catchment. |
