    Terrible Doctor (Rippon) no interest at all in his patients, rude and patronising. Also he doesn't seem very knowledgeable. I have spoken to others in the community and he has a awful reputation.

    Today I called the surgery as I had one of their infamous ‘contact the patient services team for a non urgent message from your gp’. This basically means a phone call from a random doctor to go through your test results. I’ve had on going issues with my heart and have just had a 72hr Tape Test, I called the reception to arrange an appointment to ‘see a doctor’ as I wanted to see the doctor and go through my worries and test results, the receptionist refused this and stated the doctor had requested a phone call so that’ was all I could have! I’m utterly disgusted with the level of service and tots and complete lack of care shown by this surgeries reception staff! You now have to battle to be ‘accepted’ for an appointment, the staff should be retrained in customer care and how to treat people with respect. It’s an insult to the NHS. The doctor who apparently has requested a phone call only is one I’ve never spoken to! I tried to make the point aren’t their other doctors but was shut off by the incredibly rude receptionist.

    I find that this practice cannot cope with the number of patients they have, my practice was closed by the NHS and the land sold for housing. So I have to attend Sturminster now, the Doctors I have ‘seen’ are ok, so long as you don’t mind waiting between 1 to 2 weeks on average for an appointment, but I had some blood tests performed over a week ago, I missed the call back from a doctor to give my results today which is over a week since they were done, I have no idea who the doctor was as you don’t get to deal with the same doctor, and he left a message telling me he didn’t know why he was asked to call me.. and that when I return a blood pressure monitor they can arrange something, this is despite the fact I returned this monitor 2 days ago to the practice. I have some concerns about my heart and blood pressure and this level of service is not acceptable, I called the surgery today and have to wait till next week, over two weeks since they took my blood, for a nurse to call me with the results. I have private medical insurance too but the doctors are reluctant to refer me when I asked... I’ll be contacting BUPA myself tomorrow, I don’t think they will make you wait over two weeks for test results.. who knows when I’ll get my blood pressure test results?
