Sadly this surgery has gone from bad to worse year on year.
A new telephony system has been put in place clearly to deter patients from calling. I have just spent 37 minutes trying to make a routine appointment which has been scheduled for the end of September. It seems they think patients want to schedule a visit rather than a pressing concern.
Reception staff needs serious and intensive customer service training as they lack the right attitude and rather than calming and reassuring people, after a long wait on the line or long awaited appointment, they seem to be experts at aggravating matters.
Doctors in this GP are no better. They cant wait to see the back of patients, looking uninterested in what the ailment is. Every diagnosis seems to be stress related or something they are not sure they can prescribe anything effective enough so better give it time to see if it gets better. Seriously!
ABSOLUTE NONSENSE, DO NOT RECOMENT! |

the 'new' phone system installed is absolutely dire - I've been number 4 in the queue for 20 minutes now & this is the 2nd time of trying today - they should have stuck to the original phone system, at least when it was engaged you weren't stuck hanging on... |

I sat in a reception full of waiting patients hearing your receptionist divulging confidential information about me, the conversation we had on the phone and my son’s medical problems with other members of staff who were also participating to the discussion as she had no idea I was in reception and I was waiting for her to finish.
I feel very disappointed and shocked that your receptionist would use the health problems of the patients to discuss so freely and to use as an office banter.
Also, calling to cancel an appointment 20 minutes before is not acceptable, surely your office knew earlier that the doctor was unwell but if your receptionist is discussing each patient conversations with the other members of staff then I could see why we were called so late.
We will be leaving the surgery as we don’t feel the confidentiality of your patients is taken seriously.
I should really take this further, as I feel this person should not be allowed to have access to confidential information and patients records. |
