Dr Atkinson listened to what I had to say and promised to see what he could do to help. I found him friendly and efficient and I am hopeful that I can get the help I so desperately need. |

(I would just like to say first of all that all other staff I have met here have been lovely, there’s just the 2 that have caused me problems). On 2 different occasions I have come to book an appointment to be greeted by a sour faced lady who barely listens to a word I say and has absolutely no respect or compassion. She made me say why I was here (which was an embarrassing reason) in front of everyone in the queue, when I told her I don’t really want to say it out loud in front of all these people she said ‘well you have to’. After an appointment I got told I was going to have a letter in the post with the date and time of a hospital appointment, I went to reception as I had recently changed my address with the surgery just to make sure that the letter would be sent to my new address, the same lady was there and told me it would (once again was very rude). The letter wasn’t delivered and I missed the appointment, I later found out it was in fact delivered to my old address. I went to the surgery once again to ask them to make sure my address had been changed...they said it had and I had to book another appointment to be referred again and the exact same thing happened again!!! The hassle that all of this caused me was worse than the pain so I ended up actually leaving it and dealing with the pain myself. As if that wasn’t enough I went to an appointment after injuring myself, I had an extremely rude doctor who didn’t seem bothered in the slightest of anything I was saying, just seemed like he couldn’t get me out of there quick enough. He told me to go straight to a&e. I tried explaining more to him and he just kept cutting me off and telling me to go to a&e. I still had more questions that I needed to ask him but the way he was talking to me was so vile I couldn’t get out of there quick enough. I got to a&e and as expected...I didn’t need to go, they didn’t know why he had bothered sending me there and at the front desk they got my address up from the surgery and shock..was still the wrong address. Maybe if he had actually listened to what I was saying this could have been avoided and as for why the receptionist couldn’t change my address after coming in and asking THREE TIMES I will never know. This surgery has wasted so much of my time and every time I have gone I have left almost in tears, I just can’t believe how unprofessional and unorganised it all is. I will definitely be changing surgery that’s for sure. |
