Get guided to online consult- no answer Call 5 times- no answer 6th time calling - put into queue to get triage even after a 111 doctor has sent them a message saying I need to be seen within 24 hours. I am a new patient, I don't understand why the surgery would register me or anyone else as a new patient if they can't cope with their current patients. |

Sadly, my interactions with this surgery have not been helpful. I will say that the young woman on reception is lovely. However I waited 3 weeks for an appointment regarding help around something I have been trying to get support with for a number of years only for Trudi, the GP I had, to have been incredibly dismissive and unsympathetic. I understand you are not there to be counsellors but you work with people and health is naturally tied in with people’s happiness and well-being, it’s absolutely exhausting constantly getting fobbed off time after time about women’s heath issues. I know it speaks to a much wider issue in terms of lack of research/funding in this area but why not at least seem like you actually care and want to help? So many NHS staff have become totally detached from their humanity, perhaps it’s due to how they are treated, but the general population are PEOPLE they are not just numbers, so I suggest you equip yourself with some people skills and empathy. I’ll be changing doctors surgery and hopefully I can find a GP with some warmth who actually seems like they are there to support people rather than just get paid. |
