What an amazing practice. The receptionists, who have the most difficult job in the world bend over backwards to help. Patients should try to remember that although their problem is the most important thing happening, there are a hundred+ other people waiting to speak to the staff who all feel exactly the same. There are only so many appointments available and my experience has been over the last 14 years that they will allocate the most effective and appropriate method of accessing help at the earliest possible time. I have never ever found the face/voice of the practice to be anything but professional, I have never felt like a number or a statistic I always felt that I was important. If it appears sometimes that they are not as bright and cheerful as you would like, may I suggest you take a long look at things from their side of the glass. Well done you deserve a medal for putting up with us. As for the medical team, the GPs have been tremendous, cutting through my waffle to establish the important symptoms and appropriate treatment, referring when appropriate. Along with the nursing team who have been so supportive, holding my hand every step of the way as I struggled to get my head around my condition. Being so enthusiastic when finally we stabilised it. I cannot rate this practice highly enough. Thank you for being there. | ||||||

Receptionist was very rude tried to book blood test was told 2 weeks so I explained I would go to the hospital to have the tests done. I advised the receptionist the doctor told me to book a follow up appointment a week from bloods being taken only for the receptionist to tell me I couldn’t book it due to bloods not being taken I again explained the doctor told me I could go to the hospital and been seen that day to have the bloods taken the following day only for her to again tell me she couldn’t book it as now there were no appointments even though she told me the next one was in 2 weeks. Very bad attitude didn’t acknowledge me on arrival when I greeted her and then when she was ready to speak to me just gave me a look as if I was bothering her. Really don’t know what her issue is and have heard many complaints about the reception staff in this surgery. I think it might be beneficial for them to be re trained on how to speak with people as most people coming in to the surgery are sick or vulnerable and sometimes both and for them to be traded like that is enough to make some people bot return even though they need treatment. It makes me think if they can speak to me like this then how are they are treating elderly patients the same way. Every patient that walked in was greater with the same attitude you’d expect from a teenager.
