I'm not in the habit of writing reviews but felt it was needed after my excellent appt with Jeanette today. This was my 2nd appt with her for root canal treatment and I was sooo nervous and anxious but as soon as I saw Jeanette she made me feel so at ease. She explained every little detail that she was doing every step of the way. She checked on me regularly to make sure I was still okay and at what stage of the treatment we were at. She was amazing, I've found a dentist for life now. Very happy ?? |

I have been visiting this practice for over a year and have had a positive experience with the hygienist, although they insist on a deposit beforehand. However, considering they advertise a Saturday and evening clinic, I have never been able to secure this type of appointment for either myself or my partner. The last appointment for my partner, who waited over a month, was cancelled by the clinic via a phone call, half an before the allotted time. When we enquired could we either have a slot later in the day or at the other practice, the receptionist replied no, as one of the dentists was ill. The next available appointment was 10 days later. Whilst the dentist's illness probably could not have been forseen, I am somewhat bemused that a short appointment, which involved no actual dental work, could not have been catered for. |

I understood that treatment under Band 1 should include a scale and polish. The Vicarage Lane practice does not appear to offer that service, but does encourage patients to seek regular appointments with their hygenist (£56ish) to have a deep clean.
Personally, I do attend the hygenist regularly, and am happy with the treatment I receive. However, “rules are rules”. |
