I had been using the same dentist for many years and was having trouble with keeping my upper denture in. I noticed a sign in our local Health centre that the NHS dentist there were taking on new NHS patients. I decided to and make an appointment, mainly for a second opinion.
The dental practice is on the second floor of the health centre and access is available by stairs or lift, making it disabled friendly. The reception and waiting room is spacious, clean and fresh looking and the staff there were helpful and polite.
The dentist came in to the reception to greet me and was cheerful and so was the nurse. I explained that my top denture was always falling out and that i was allergic to the pink adhesive to keep them in because it makes my tongue swell up. Usually i find trying to explain this embarrassing but i was made to feel relaxed and not embarrassed at all.
The dentist talked me through an action plan of what could be done and we decided that making a bottom denture with back teeth could help keep the top in.
The dentist came with me to the receptionist to explain how many appointments i needed to carry out the procedure.
All the follow up appointments were carried out in the same manner with cheerful but professional staff. I am very pleased with my treatment and for now the problem with my denture falling out has been solved. |
