Located on the edge of the vibrant village of Lightwater in Surrey, Moorlands provides residential and nursing care for up to 40 elderly people in a bright and homely environment. The home’s semi-rural location offers a tranquil setting within easy reach of the village’s many amenities. Moorlands was originally a large Edwardian family home and now provides the highest standards of residential, nursing and palliative care in an environment that retains a real home from home feel. Residents’ bedrooms and all communal areas are finished to a high standard. This attention to detail is replicated in Moorlands’ care provision. The home enjoys an excellent local reputation for care and maintains strong links with the community. Moorlands offers a full range of residential and nursing care support, including trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms. Moorlands operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at convenient times. In common with all their homes, Moorlands’ manager has a qualified nursing background. The home is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and has ISO9001/2000 and Hospitality Assured accreditation. |
