Kings Bromley Care Home

My mother came into Kings Bromley Care Home just before Covid struck. She had broken her Femur and had a 6 week Cdif infection followed by 2 bouts of Pneumonia. She was 89.At first due to Covid we could not visit. When we could mum had settled in. To a comfortable room, and the routine. Not just that there were all sorts of activities even during Covid. Soon she was up and dancing. I was updated with photos showing her smiling!Ive found staff have become extention of our family.We were checked, until recently, that we had been tested at home. We had to wear ppe long after Regulations to protect residents and staff.My mother went into a decline at the end of August 2022. The staff sat with my mother. When the family visited they did everything from supplying us with drinks to one day when we sat with her for over 6 hours they brought us hot sausage roll salad and sandwiches. Unfortunately we lost mum 19th September 2022. They were wonderful. And still keep in touch. The staff and residents have bought and planted 2 rose trees in remembrance of her. Kindness above and beyond what I thought possible.
