Fulwood Hall Hospital

I have been a day patient at this hospital before and yet again they were wonderful. I have to have a general anaesthetic for this procedure and the theatre staff are so reassuring explaining everything as they go along, they have time to answer your questions, your comfort is very important. The staff in the recovery room are also amazingly kind with very comforting voices which is so important when you are coming out of an anaesthetic. The nurses taking your details and checking your general health make you feel very reassured,This includes my husband who has always been allowed to stay and wait. Reception and tea/toast, everyone I have met at the hospital has been wonderful. My father had his hip replaced there and I as a visitor was always made to feel welcome and kept informed.

From the initial consultation right through to the day of discharge the care I received from ALL STAFF, irrespective of their role, has been exceptional. I would like to particularly mention one lady who looked after me during my first night when I was experiencing a lot of pain. She was very attentive, ensuring I was comfortably positioned, happy to bring me a cup of tea, even at 2am as she knew it would help me feel a little better. It may seem a small instance, but in the middle of the night, when things can feel worse, she was such a comfort to me. Thank you to every single one of the Fulwood Hall team, you were amazing xx
