As I write this review my daughter and I I still at the Spire Manchester hospital where she has undergone a spinal fusion operation under the consultant of Mr dashti and his team I never write reviews but on this occasion I feel it is totally relevant from the moment we arrived at the hospital I was extremely frightened at the journey that lay ahead on our pre-op assessment we met the paediatric nurses who took all Holly's bloods Heights and measurements this was our first encounter of what was lying ahead did the nurses in the pre-op were absolutely outstanding and helped so much in reassuring that everything will be ok I cannot thank them enough for these moments we returned back to the hospital on Saturday at 7 a.m. to start the procedure we came in to the room where we would be staying and met Mr dashti the anaesthetist and the paediatric nursing team we were being constantly reassured and cared for my Holly went down to the operating theatre and showing no signs of Fear which I know she had inside around 6 hours later the longest day of my life I was told the procedure went well and was taken down to the intensive care unit this is where I experienced the most incredible dedicated professional caring empathetic people have ever met in my life they monitored my Holly Around the Clock non-stop for 48 hours and it truly humbled me watching such professional people we then moved to the children's paediatric ward wear the same nurses who cared for Holly in intensive care are now caring for her on the children's paediatric ward in finishing this review you I want to let any parents who are agonising over the procedure that's they could not be in any more caring professional hands and absolutely amazing people we have encountered at the Spire Manchester hospital and me and Holly would like to personally thank cool as a cucumber Mr dashti the amazing physiotherapist Anna the ultra caring paediatric nurses Joanne. I came in on the morning of the 5 th of November for surgery that morning. All the staff i met were very professional and came over very positive and caring. This included all grades of staff. They were so friendly and put me at ease. I work as a nurse in the community and i did feel a bit nervous. Nurses make the worst patients. I feel very lucky to be cared for in this hospital. |

On 19th May this year I underwent major spinal surgery in Spire Manchester Hospital to correct Scoliosis. The surgery was a complete success and the aftercare excellent.
In my opinion, the whole experience with Spire Manchester Hospital has been extremely positive and the level of care provided nothing short of excellent.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the surgeons and anaesthetist for their skill and expertise in getting me though such a complicated and potentially live changing operation. They are a great credit to the hospital along with the theatre team who back them up.
My appreciation also goes to the CCU staff and ward staff for their professionalism and the level of patient care they provided during my pre and post operation time spent as an inpatient. Original Comment Report... |
