I Visited today to collect a prescription up for my 5 year old daughter, I checked the bag contents upon leaving the chemist which I always do to ensure all ok, it appeared today that i had the wrong item so I returned to the chemist explained politely that I seemed to have an incorrect item and perhaps they could double check to see if mistake had been made . They confirmed the item given was what they had received from the doctors , no problem obviously an error with the doctors so back I go to the doctors which is in Rayleigh, spoke to the reception lady and she confirmed the correct item had definitely been sent over to chemist she wrote the items down on headed note sheet for me and said any problem ask the chemist to give us a call. Back to the chemist to be told that nothing received , so I quite politely I asked the member of staff if they could perhaps call the doctors as obviously a problem between the two parties somehow , the lady was t prepared to do that for me and told me I could call the doctors outside myself. So I had done two trips to the chemist and one to the doctors and problem still not sorted , the doctors was engaged constantly as I stood outside for a further half hour trying to call them, so I went home without the prescription and wasted an hour and a half of time. My daughter had to go a further night without the medication which is hard when you try as a parent to help your children when they are in discomfort. What upset me the most was the lack of willingness by the lady at the chemist to assist in something I was caught up in the middle of and could not resolve myself despite the effort I had put in. Mistakes happen of course they do, that really didn’t worry me and isn’t the reason for writing the review , the main disappointment was the lack of willingness to help when I could not possibly do anymore myself .
