Went and got certain tablets from them but ended up losing the box the same day or day after. When I called to them to explain the dark haired chemist woman was very rude and explained cause they cause addiction I can't have anymore. Didn't get the chance to explain that I had not even taken any from the lost box. The blonde woman was understanding and probably would of helped me but obviously the dark haired one was incharge so she couldn't help. |

I see a previous reviewer has had similiar problems as me 7months ago. I agree totally with this person. I have had several instances of commonly prescribed items not being in stock. Today it was suggested I come back tomorrow for aciclovir prescribed for shingles as they didn't have it all in stock, this strikes me as either incompetent or apathy. I too informed them of the website being incorrect not stating they are closed for lunch. I had to walk around the block for half an hour (with shingles). Without itemising all the problems I have had with this organisation, I will just add the worst when my wife was discharged from hospital during covid restrictions and we had to wait 3days for dressings to be in stock(major surgery) and we had to improvise using large sanitary towels as dressings unable to get appointment at the gp surgery..diy nhs. Understanding the problems of the nhs I fail to understand why basically a shop can't have available supplies. Acyiclovir is commonly used and the supply I have got has an expiry date of 3 years. Potential Clinical risk to patients is evident In this pharmacy and if they can't correct their opening times on their website despite being made aware then words fail me. They close between 1 and 2 !!! |

Hi,
Took up Boots managed services of prescription earlier in 2016 which was a success initially but became a disaster.
I have asthma and is important for me to get inhalers on time 24th 25th of every month.
At Christmas I was left without for days and despite shop promise to not repeat this in January they were late again.
In January due to after affect of not having inhaler to control asthma I had to go to Hospital.
Hence when I realized detrimental situation I complained to Boots head office and area manager called promising this would never happen again.
But when I was relieved to get inhalers 27/2/17 (2 days late) I never complained or made a fuss.
However the Shop staff explained 27/2/17 they would no longer manage my prescriptions because I had complained in January.
I was SHOCKED because boots promised to care bit clearly do not.
My advice is if you have important medication needs do not rely on Boots because there NOT GENUINE in Customer care |
