We're developing a new store model which focuses on the things that matter most to our customers and fundamentally changes how our pharmacy teams work. We've redesigned the dispensing process and introduced new stock monitoring measures so that you don't have to wait for your medicines, and we've freed up our pharmacists to spend more time helping our customers.
As part of this, we're also bringing new technology into our pharmacies. This includes 24/7 prescription pick-up machines – meaning you can collect your medicine any time, day or night – and a text notification service, so we can let you know when your prescription is ready to collect.

Very poor service. Staff are surly and unhelpful. Despite staff being clearly visible behind the dispensing hatch, you wait for ages for an acknowledgement. I can appreciate there may be a wait when it is busy, but an 'I'll be with you in a moment " is not hard and at least then you know you have been seen. I have this experience every time I go in. Never changes. I want to support my local pharmacy, but it's Boots from now on. Original Comment Report...

I’m really sorry to hear you've been experiencing some issues with the service of our staff at our Gateshead - Beaconsfield Road pharmacy and I would like to apologise on their behalf.
We expect all of our staff to maintain a high level of service with all patients so it's disappointing to hear that this has not been the case on several visits and that you've made the choice to move to Boots.
