I had a received a letter from the NHS saying I was entitled to a free flu jab, and could get this at a pharmacy. I attempted to do this and was told I could not have it, due to my condition not fitting neatly into one of the tick boxes on the form. I tried to explain my several health conditions, but she seemed disinterested, dissapeared to speak to her manager and then returned to say I could not have a flu jab. I left the room and spoke to the person who had accompanied me. They then went in to get theirs, and the pharmacist woman assumed they were in same situation as me! Just because the other person was also in a wheelchair, it doesn't mean we have identical conditions!!! She then proceeded to discuss why I could not have a flu jab with the person who had accompanied me, which I feel was totally inapropriate and broke my confidentiality! I am really not happy with the way I was treated at all and I feel the pharmacist acted in a totally unprofessional manner.
