Have used Tesco pharmacy for many years never had a problem till recently. Staff usually nice & polite bar one, who is always rude . And don’t get me started on the queues! It states 48 wait for prescriptions, if only. I’m having to wait a week or more, and often run out. Can’t get an order from doctor to early or they reject your request . Never in all my years 70+ have I ever had such bad service from a pharmacy. I will be finding a new one asap

Tesco pharmacy used to great, but lately it’s gone down hill. It says 48 hours for prescriptions , at least 3 times now I’ve waited over a week , sometimes running out of meds .when I ask for them the answer I get back is have you had a text saying it’s ready , I say no , but I’ve run out of meds . They don’t look happy about it but I do eventually get it, but I have to shop then go back for it. Some of the staff are helpful and polite , one in particular is always very rude and abrupt. Usually now there is a long queue which takes ages to move. I’m going to be looking elsewhere for my meds , it’s to stressful .

Emergency prescription needed. Telephoned ahead explaining what was needed. Yes they could help. Then called 111 to have a prescription request sent through. Get to Tesco in a taxi as I am not at home ; my home is hundreds of miles away. Chemist is not there and we have to wait. Assistant is pleasant and nice. Explain situation. Chemist returns. No conversation with chemist at all. He avoids and I do mean avoids contact with his customers. He sends his assistant to deal with customers. First point made ' it is an expensive drug therefore we don't stock it'. So why say you can help me when I first rang? Cannot give me prescription to take elsewhere. Cannot give me any help trying to find a chemist who has what I needed. Bear in mind I do not know the area. Whilst waiting for the chemist many people were collecting prescriptions ( a queue) and being told they did not have the items they wanted to collect. Looking at the shelving it was not stocked in a way you would normally expect a pharmacy to be. There were very very few items on the shelves. This is not a service to the public. It is not really what it purports to be. Calling it a pharmacy is not accurate since it stocks so few items. It reflects very poorly too on Tesco. I will be making a formal complaint. I will not just accept what happened. Some of the issues were the NHS processes and systems. But this was no service and no way to handle the issue at all. Dire.
