This is my local pharmacy and where I do my regular food shop. Was spoken to like a drug addict because I asked for pain relief. I get regular flare ups of kidney stones and DR in the past has recommended pain relief so instead of getting appt and putting more strain on nhs every time, I try and sort it myself and go over the counter as it’s the same product I have been given a script for in the past. My last flare up was 2-3 months ago where I went and got pain relief from here and so today when I went to get more the pharmacist said apparently I had been in 5 times recently and just flat told me no and walked off behind the screen. I have absolutely not been in 5 times recently so I’m pretty offended I was refused based on something that is not true and the fact I was spoken to the way I was. Will absolutely never shop here again not even for my food shop as I find how I was spoken to was extremely rude. Not everyone asking for pain relief is scum of the earth, I have kidney stones genetically passed from my father who actually is regularly hospitalised and I know I can manage mine from home without bothering GPs or going to AE if I have the right level of pain relief. Apparently going to the GP for an over the counter option is what’s recommended now so I guess every few months I’ll be down the GP, thanks!

I visited the pharmacy for advice with pain I have in my hand I have arthritis and had had a op last year and my hand was giving me some bad pain after I had a examination from my consultant .
When I asked about pain relief I feel that he treated me like a drug addict by saying that people like me get tablets off the doctor and scoff the lot ! Not even reading the packaging ! I take codien for pain relief not every day only when I need it the person said my headache was down to me taking to much I had already said I dont take hardly any I feel that I was belittled and the person wasn’t talking quietly so I got looks off other customers the person then walked away from me as I was still talking to serve another customer I left feeling very upset and I suffer from anxiety so was very upset and angry by the way I was treated all evening I will NOT ! We had put a large private prescription in, this was the second time using this service at Asda, first time was brilliant and stress free. The second time I want to make a special mention about the guy that works there, he was run off his feet and still managed to give us the best service he could and was so friendly! They were completely understaffed and he shouldn't have even been in work but he was brilliant so hats off to him, will definitely use again as people like him make you want to return!
