Went to speak to the pharmacist on the advice of 111 for care at the chemist. My daughter has worms and needed treatment and instead of my usual pharmacy, which was closed, I went to Baycliff as it was the closest open pharmacy. The pharmacist argued that I should use my own pharmacy, which I explained was shut, as they didn't serve CatC to people who dont regularly attend or live in the catchment area. They said I should wait until Monday, with my child in clear discomfort from the infestation. Never in my life have I had to argue with pharmacist for an easy treatment to a simple yet distressing to my 6 year old problem to be told to leave her suffering for an entire weekend in pain and discomfort crying because of it. This is completely unacceptable of medical professional never mind a human being. I regularly see my pharmacist for minor ailments instead of using up an appointment with my gp/walk in which someone with a much more complex need can use. I will not use this pharmacy for any reason again and I caution anyone about using it in the future with the attitude the pharmacist has.
