This is the last straw. Last Tuesday my repeat prescription was handed in to the chemist. On Friday my husband went in to collect it expecting it to be ready. WRONG. Firstly they couldn’t find the prescription when it was asked for, of course it hadn’t been processed. Then questions regarding certain tablets were spoken about to my husband. Those questions could have been dealt with if the prescription had been done when it had been taken in Once the issues was sorted they realised they didn’t have enough tablets so owe me 30 more. However the following day when I was sorting them I noticed they hadnt given me any 25mg tablets. Also one of the bottles had been labelled wrong. Luckily I some spare tablets at home otherwise I would have been short of tablets which I need. This has not been the first problem I have experienced with my prescription as it has either been incomplete or incorrect and due to the importance of medication for people it is disgusting and the chemist needs to sort it’s self out. Reply from North Anston Pharmacy Wed, 08 May 2019 09:43:09 +0100 We are sorry to hear that you feel the service you received was below the standard that we aim to provide. As a family owned Pharmacy Company, we understand how important it is to offer the best possible service and the Pharmacy team at North Anston work extremely hard to provide a safe and efficient Pharmaceutical service to all patients. I understand that you have now addressed your concerns directly with the Pharmacy Manager, who has been able to reassure you that your prescription was dispensed correctly, however, very unfortunately you did not receive your one item as it had been received on a separate prescription form, and was subsequently filed separately to the rest of your medication items. I know that the Pharmacy Manager has apologised to you for this oversight. Additionally, there is one item that is still owed to you but the Pharmacy expects to receive stock in the next couple of days and fortunately you do have sufficient supply of this. As highlighted recently in the media, I am afraid that Nationally, all Community Pharmacies are currently struggling to source certain medicines. This is partly due to manufacturing problems causing supply issues and partly to do with current Brexit uncertainties and like other companies we are having use a range of measures (suggested by the National Pharmacy organisations), to ensure patients can access medicines in short supply. This can, however, unfortunately lead to delays for patients needing the affected medicines. Thank you for your feedback which allows us to improve the service we offer. |

Took my repeat prescription in well in advance only to be told they didn't have my medication in stock when I went to pick it up. No attempt to get it for me, instead I was handed the prescription back and told to go and try another pharmacy elsewhere. This medication is vital for me but they apparently just left it until the day I went to pick it up to tell me they hadn't got it. Had no problem getting it from another pharmacy (this wasn't the first time it has happened hence the review). Won't be using this pharmacy again. Reply from North Anston Pharmacy Tue, 12 Mar 2019 09:05:22 Z As a family owned Pharmacy Company, we understand the importance of providing a safe, and efficient pharmaceutical service to all of our patients, and our aim is always to give our patients the highest possible standard of service. We believe it is, unfortunately accepted and well documented, that there are currently International manufacturing problems and National wholesaler supply issues (that are being compounded by concerns about a no-deal Brexit) that has caused all UK Pharmacies to struggle to source certain specific medicines over recent months. The Pharmacy team at North Anston are working extremely hard to ensure that their patients are able to obtain their prescription medicines effectively. We would be grateful if you could address any specific queries directly with the Pharmacy Manager who will deal with your concerns as a matter of urgency. |

I have visited this chemist twice in a 24 hour period. On both occasions I found some of the staff to be extremely rude and unprofessional. I was left standing at the desk when it was obvious I was there whilst staff continued to gossip in the dispensary area. I was owed an item which I collected today and was met again with a timely wait where nobody appeared to be doing anything constructive. The item was handed over by the assistant who looked at me like I was an inconvenience to them. Extremely unfriendly, unprofessional staff who clearly need retraining in the art of customer care. Reply from North Anston Pharmacy Mon, 22 Oct 2018 09:16:54 +0100 I was disappointed to read your comments regarding the rude service you received when you visited the Pharmacy twice in a 24 hour period.
