Whether you're under the weather or on long-term medicines, managing and collecting your prescriptions can add unnecessary extra stress. In the UK, the pharmacy model hasn't really moved on in the last 70 years, and we're working to change that.
Our pharmacies
We're developing a new store model which focuses on the things that matter most to our customers and fundamentally changes how our pharmacy teams work. We've redesigned the dispensing process and introduced new stock monitoring measures so that you don't have to wait for your medicines, and we've freed up our pharmacists to spend more time helping our customers.
As part of this, we're also bringing new technology into our pharmacies. This includes 24/7 prescription pick-up machines – meaning you can collect your medicine any time, day or night – and a text notification service, so we can let you know when your prescription is ready to collect.

I have been using this pharmacy (under its many operators) for over 40 years and my experiences with them over the past 6 months have been nothing but shocking.
Working within the NHS myself and having good knowledge of the EPS prescription system, I am shocked that they seem to have little knowledge of how it works! The GP where I work sent over an acute pain relief script yesterday, which should of arrived with them within seconds of it being issued, I even provided them with the ETP barcode on collection but they still insisted it would be 48 hours until I could collect! The pharmacist (who was rude, despite me just wanting answers to why I would had to wait) got my name wrong, despite me correcting her twice, told me that I was on ‘lots of pain relief’ despite never having been issued with any in my life.. Then told me I was a new patient with them despite having had them nominated as my ETP pharmacy since EPS was implemented, and using them since 1977!
My experience with ‘Well’ has left me worried about the welfare of the patient’s I look after.. If I am issuing scripts to patients and telling them they can collect in a few minutes but ‘Well’ are insisting on a few days waiting time this is bad practice, other pharmacies seem to be able issue prescriptions as soon as they arrive with them but ‘Well’ for some reason can’t!
