Two years ago this pharmacy was ok. Sadly, it has really gone downhill. There has been a large turnover of staff during the last year and the staff there now are rude and unhelpful. They get youngsters there to serve in the shop and they are always as helpful as possible - but the main staff, including the pharmacist are, as I said, rude and unhelpful. I've heard many other customers complaining and many now go to the pharmacy 100 yards along the road. I have challenged them on their attitude, now they just ignore me when I go in and I have to ask for someone to come and serve me. But worst of all is that we are in the middle of the corona virus pandemic, yet they are not taking any precautions to safeguard their customers (or themselves). They allow any number of customers to crowd into the shop - none of the staff wear gloves - and the last time I went in there they were passing a pen around for the customers to sign their prescriptions. I've joined those who go to the pharmacy just along the road.

It was early evening on a Sunday when a small rash that I had had for a couple of days became quite extensive on my body and was quite alarming to look at. I decided it was not serious enough for A&E but that I did need a professional opinion, just in case. The duty pharmacist, a very polite and professional man examined me in a private consultation room, put my mind at rest and prescribed medication. He gave clear instructions what to do if there was no improvement or the symptoms got worse. This was all conducted expeditiously and I'm sure saved me several hours in A&E.
