I was given another brand of blood pressure tablets today and unfortunately they do not have the days of the week printed on the foil on each tablet unlike their previous stock which they have had for some time. Having the days of the week on the foil helps me to ensure that I have not forgotten to take my tablets which is important for blood pressure. I appreciate that it is all about trying to cut costs for Tesco and the new blood pressure tablets are NOT from this country and therefore I am assuming cheaper. But we do not get a discount in the price for the prescription!! I will not use Tesco’s pharmacy again and will try and find another pharmacy not trying to cut costs with cheaper tablets. Such a shame.

My prescription had been sent some hours previously but not dispensed. I was informed that this was to be expected because there are hundreds of prescriptions to do. True I'm sure.... But I'm still paying for this service. Did I need it tonight....as they closed in 20 minutes? (I had just finished a 12 hour shift myself and gone there as the pharmacy advertises itself as open until 8pm in order to be helpful. It would indeed have been helpful had my prescription been dispensed ready to go in the 7 hours since it was sent. Not unreasonable in my opinion). I suggested that perhaps I should send my prescriptions elsewhere and the response was that everywhere would be the same. After waiting I was told that they did not in fact have what I needed and would have to come back 2 days later as I had missed the cut off ordering time. Actually I hadn't...they had because they hadn't processed the request on time. 2 days wait for much needed medication. Could have ordered housewares on line quicker than that!!!

Time and time again the Tesco Pharmacy (Millwood Drive) have let us down for regular prescription medication. Either No supply, and excuse that is used every month for year- or Dr hasn’t sent script. Painful experience is a understatement, the mental well being that it knocks for chronic medication dealing with them is not worth it.
