Having visited my local Boots Opticians (Ruislip Road, Greenford, Middlesex) today for new glasses with a new prescription from another optician, the Optician refused to serve me!
My new prescription was given to me in November 2013 having had a full eye test. I have always used these opticians for the test but they di not hold a wide enough range of frames. I have for a few years used Boots for optaining the glasses. The new prescription details were, according to the Boots Optician, not acceptable in the form presented. This surprised me as on my previous visit in 2010 the same format was acceptable.
Not a shining example of good customer service, customer loyalty appreciation or any sense of trust. |

I write with regard to the optician, whose professionalism and expertise is not only a credit to the Romford branch, but to the company as a whole. Having spent some time examining my left eye on 28th October 2013, they immediately arrange an appointment at the Queens hospital in Romford. Their diagnosis of a Macular hole, together with other details, were later confirmed by an eye surgeon who, upon reading the optician's report, was most impressed.
I would therefore be grateful if my compliments could be conveyed to them.
