This Optician needs to move into the modern world and provide/publish a direct e-mail address. Frustratingly, his clients were recently asked (on a slip of paper) if they would agree to e-mail notifications/reminders, etc. from Pinningtons, without offering clients a pinningtons e-mail address with which to reply!! In fact, Pinningtons arrogantly assumed clients would pay postage to reply, or make a special personal drop-in visit (if local)! If Pinningtons should have (or provide in the future) a website, 'contact us'-type communications within that website are not adequate unless the website has the sophistication to auto-email-confirm one's message. A direct, clearly shown e-mail address is always best for the client. I was offered verbally an address but this was rejected by the 'great postmaster in the skies'....... I could change Opticians....? J S Burton
