I went in with a brand new pair of spectacles that I had inherited and were beautiful and expensive (just the frames) to get lens put in after making an appointment for a testing. I was on time and made to wait, appreciating that previous appointment may have over run. When the previous customer came out the Optician came out as well and went to Reception. The Optician walked past not acknowledging me, even though I looked up to say hello. I was left sitting there for 5 - 10 minutes and was beginning to wonder what was happening. An employee came to say in a concerned voice asking if I was alright. I said I was but it was about 2-3 minutes before the Optician came to take me in. Overall I was delayed a good 10 minutes. Since then I have not had a reminder for eye testing and usually get one every year. I was expecting a reminder around Feb of this year. It seemed to me that as I brought my own spectacles in they were not interested in me as they were not making money out of me and i am not wanted now. |
