I was advised to come for a check up. She checked my eyes etc and finally requested for my glasses. I took it off and handed to her. After about 2 minutes handed it back. I left the room and put them on and noticed 2 fine scratches appeared. I told the optician she had scratched my glasses but she denied, and after a short while got her trainee optician go into the room where my eyes were checked. He too denied. And I said to him can we go to the room and show me where your colleague put my glasses to check. It was on this glass checker thing. No apology was made and I'm disgusted with myself for ordering a new pair from them and cost me £295 for that pair. |

Disgruntled customer writing this from the reception of a rival shop !.

after using Asda Opticians for years I thought I’d try a different place, I decided on Vision Express as they had a great offers on, so booked an eye test for the 4th February 2019, the examiner said two of the medications I taking were what was causing my excessive dry eye problem, he said he’d write to my doctor to get them changed, which he didn’t do, so I phoned and left a message for him to contact my doctor but still nothing, I felt rushed to choose a my new frames after letting them know what I was looking for but ended up with a frame I really don’t think suits me but I really can’t fault the new top quality lenses, after a few months my glasses fell onto my living room rug, I didn’t notice and stepped on them breaking the right sided shoulder, so I took them to Vision Express and asked them to fix them for me, I was prepared to pay as it was my fault, only to be told they couldn’t, plus they didn’t have my frames anymore and if I were to buy a new pair at the cost of around £500+, then told me to take them to a man who has a stall in the Coventry market which I did, he charged me £15 to fix them, how lazy and awful that Vision Express couldn’t do this for me as I bought my glasses from them, plus because I didn’t take insurance out at a cost of around £45 they couldn’t help me in anyway, are Vision Express only out for your money, I certainly won’t be using them ever again, first and last time, this has put me off them completely, it’s just a money grabbing company that don’t give any after care service period. |
