I moved to Somersham in August 2018. With a prescribed anti-inflammatory drug dating back almost 20 years (I am now 63), I registered with a local clinic that made an arrangement for my four-weekly prescription to be handled by JW Anderson. In mid-May 2019, I used the clinic's online system to request a repeat presciption and went to JW Anderson three days later to pick up the medication. On arriving, I was told that they had no stock and had been contacting their supplier for three days but without success. As this medication is crucial to my abilty to get out of bed each day, and I only had two days' tablets left, I asked the pharmacist why I hadn't been informed of this. The reply: we don't have your telephone number. I then asked whether they had informed my GP. The answer: no. When asked why not, I was told that if he did this, he wouldn't have time to do his job. On leaving JW Anderson, I phoned the local branch of Boots chemist (about six miles away) to find that they had the drug in stock. I went there to collect it and have since changed my repeat prescription to this branch, which will text me when the prescription is ready every four weeks. If can only hope that this is not typical of how JW Anderson treats its customers. I would certainly not recommend them.
