I recently (early July) visited this pharmacy to collect my monthly repeat prescription and was told that from now on I would have to order my own repeat prescriptions myself from my surgery because the NHS was stopping pharmacies from providing this service from September 1st 2019. I have no problem with this cost saving measure by the cash strapped NHS but why have TESCO introduced this measure 2 months prematurally ?? Is this a local branch management cost saving measure i.e. reduced staff work load or even worse, is this a national TESCO policy and ARE TESCO CONTINUING TO CHARGE THE NHS FOR A SERVICE THEY HAVE HAVE PREMATURALLY CEASED TO PROVIDE ?
