I have been using this pharmacy for years and will continue to do so. The pharmacist is brilliant and always goes above and beyond to help. All the staff have been great and are always happy to help. Original Comment Report... |

I have been using Marijak Pharmacy for many years now: not because it's the most convenient to my work or home [which it's not], but because I have always had excellent service there.
I have always found all of the staff, from the pharmacist to the counter staff, to be friendly, attentive, polite and knowledgeable.
[There is an added bonus of having an equally friendly Post Office inside the shop.]. Original Comment Report... |

To be in a situation where you are trying to care for a family member who is awaiting a lack of capacity assessment is stressful, especially if the capacity they lack is with medication.
It is thus disappointing that when a hospital error puts your family member at risk of serious overdose. It seemed obvious to contact both the doctor and the pharmacist in order to warn them.
It was unfortunate that I did not get treated in a polite manner, and from the outset the pharmacist was very unhelpful and confrontational, treating me as an annoyance, and informing me that as a community pharmacist it's not their problem, and they don't need to query anything with the doctor. I did try to explain the gravity of the situation, that it could be a life threatening situation, but was talked over to the point I had to give up, and then had the situation topped off by being told three people waiting in their shop.
I am saddened as this is my local pharmacy and I would very much like to feel happy using it, however with a situation such as this I can't recommend it to anyone. I do hope that they will take note of what has been reported here and take action. I find it unlikely they don't have a duty of care if concerns are reported about someone who they regularly dispense medication to. Original Comment Report... |
