I arrived in North Norfolk without my prescription medication. My home GP surgery was most unhelpful when I rang, telling me they couldn't provide an electronic prescription, and I would have to find a walk-in centre or hospital and see if they could help. So before I did this I thought I would ask a local pharmacy if they had anything they could sell me over the counter. The pharmacist at David Jagger told me she could do better than that, she could get me an emergency prescription if I gave her a few details, which I was delighted with. So rather than driving many miles and waiting around for a few hours, hoping someone could see me, I was able to get on with my holiday and pick up my medicine later that day. Brilliant!

Away from home found I had not brought essential medication with me. Needed a week's supply before return home. Sought advice from pharmacist. She explained arrangement for liaising with my home CCG to get authorisation for prescription as my own GP does not permit prescription requests from patients by phone. Pharmacist contacted CCG and promptly issued meds within the hour, avoiding unnecessary GP or hospital consultation away from home. And good for my health. Very courteous and helpful. Great service from an NHS pharmacist. Strongly recommend.
