I used this pharmacy for the first time to collect a prescription. They were unable to provide the full prescription and asked me to return in a few days for the remainder, on return I was informed there was an issue and they wouldn’t be able to provide the rest of the prescription. After having to get a new prescription to get the remainder (so now paying for it twice), I phoned them to ask for a refund on the tablets they weren’t able provide and was told they now had the medication in stock and I should’ve phone them, despite earlier being told they wouldn’t be able to get them in. I don’t like supporting the big chains, but in future I’ll just stick to Boots in Claygate. |

I am afraid I have to endorse the negative reviews on this site as far as the pharmacists are concerned
The front of shop staff are invariably welcoming, efficient, polite, enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and fully merit the accolades given in the posts
The problems start when they go off to get a pharmacist-then you get the uncalled for gratuitously offensive treatment so accurately described
I got mine when I called recently about a changed prescription as I await a heart bypass
I have read of a sociological experiment whereby perfectly ordinary people were given white coats to wear and required to interact with others who were dressed in ordinary clothes
Those in white coats were observed to assume "something of a God complex" and behave in a high and mighty way, being sarcastic and demeaning towards the others
Apparently the behaviour is even more marked where those in white coats have an inferiority complex to start with or some sort of "chip on the shoulder"
For the future I could simply ask the surgery to send my prescriptions to another chemist but my experience of life is that it is probably the same wherever you go
My gratitude is for the NHS for providing this site to let of a little steam and realising that it is the same for everyone Original Comment Report... |

Great service with knowledgable staff, helpful and polite. Unlike Boots in Claygate which is in complete disarray. Very satisfied with this chemist. |
